From 1 February 2026 new rules for diagnosing ADHD and prescribing stimulant medicines have come into effect in Aotearoa New Zealand. At this time,
YOSS will not be undertaking ADHD assessment, diagnosis, or initiating prescribing under the new legislation.
WHY: The clinical complexity of comprehensive ADHD assessment and management requires dedicated training, structured pathways and resourcing that are still under development locally and nationally. This is not a new service that we can do effectively, safely or have the current resources to do right now.

All of our services are 100% free, from check-ups with one of our nurses to mental health assessments and therapy with our clinical psychologist.
